City Council plans to conduct work visit (kunker) to Hong Kong in order to observe Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) operational directly.

"I don't know when about its implementation. But we need to analyze it because Hong Kong is known to have the best MRT operational," said Mohamad Taufik, Vice Chairman of City Councils at Council Building, Tuesday (7/11).
He hopes his side could understand MRT ticketing system which is applied in Hong Kong from work visit. Ticket fare is important to adjust how much government gives subsidy for citizen.
Governor Supports Council to Observe MRT in Hong Kong"We need clear calculation. Do not let MRT ticket becomes expensive and burdens City Budget. This should be considered," he expressed.
He continued that his side also wants to learn the world-renowned Hong Kong MRT management during work visit.
"Subsidy is important thus related commission will follow up later," he closed.
